iRobot Vacuum and Mop Review

Unlike some robot vacuums, this one isn't afraid to go on the stairs. Like all mops and vacuums, it is susceptible to getting blocked by objects like tennis shoes, jewelry, thread, or other loose items.

The iRobot Home App allows you to label rooms, and create no-go zones. You can also track the performance of your mops as well as their battery levels.

iRobot Combo j7+

The Combo J7+ is a part of the mop and robotic vacuum line-up that combines the robot cleaner's smart mapping capabilities and its ability to tackle spills. It has the same onboard acoustic sensors and iAdapt 2.0 navigation that is used by other Roomba options and maps your home 7 times faster than earlier models. It also lets you set Keep Out Zones and Clean Zones to tell the robot which areas it should avoid and when it should clean them.

The robotic arm is the most significant feature of the J7. It keeps the mop pad in place when it is not in use and lowers it when carpeting or hard flooring. In my tests, the Combo J7+ did a great job at avoiding spraying water onto the rug. The robot didn't attempt to cross the rug, even after I moved it around a few times.

The arm comes with a 240mL tank which can be easily removed and refilled. This makes it more convenient to use than the mop pads found on many other 2-in-1 robotic arms. It also uses the iRobot's PrevisionVision technology to avoid obstacles, which is more sophisticated than some systems of this type.

iRobot Combo i5

This multitasker is designed to vacuum and mop with one machine. The vacuuming is done by using a special bin that can accommodate up to 60 days worth of debris. According to iRobot this will reduce the amount dust released into the air. The i5+ also has dual multi-surface rubber brushes as well as Power-Lifting Suction that can tackle dirt, dust, pet hair and dirt on hard floors. Simply replace the Mopping Bin with a compatible cleaning product and you're ready to mop.

The i5+ runs iRobot OS and gets smarter the more you use it. It can learn your floorplan by creating an Smart Map that remembers room names and your specific cleaning preferences. The iRobot App allows you to create a schedule or instruct the robot to clean a certain room.

iRobot is equipped with the ability to recognize household clutter like cords, shoes, toys and bags. It will then automatically stop and return to the docking station, giving it to recharge and finish the cleaning task at a later time. It is voice-compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri, and understands approximately 600 voice commands. This is more than any other 2-in-1 robot.

iRobot Combo j5

This robot vacuum and mop from iRobot is a good option for homes that have carpets and hard floors. It uses intelligent mapping and avoids obstacles to clean efficiently. It offers multiple mopping options such as the SmartScrub system for removing tough staining. It is also able to create No Mop Zones to ensure that carpets aren't sucked up. The dock refills the mopping fluid on a regular basis. This model is more expensive than the earlier Roomba Combo j7+, however it has more features.

Its patent-pending Mopping Drive System applies a pressure to the floor, which allows for an even deeper cleaning. It also gets rid of tough stains. It also can reach under furniture and into tight spaces to give a thorough clean. The Combo J5+ is compatible with the iRobot Clean Base for automatic dirt disposal.

Smart Mapping allows it to navigate your home seven times faster than before5, while identifying rooms with 90 percent accuracy6. It can create a map for your entire home, meaning that it can clean anywhere you'd like in a single run. It can also identify and avoid objects like cords, backpacks, pet toys, kitty litter boxes and shoes, socks and more for worry-free cleaning. With the iRobot app you can schedule your home's cleaning schedule and manage your robot from anywhere.

iRobot Combo i3

The iRobot Combo i3 has been updated from the original Roomba i3. It has a HEPA filter to trap allergens and the same great dust compartment that is outside, but it now supports smart mapping. You can now designate no-go zones to stop the vacuum from vaccuming these areas repeatedly. The i3 Plus still has a number of other great features, including its advanced cleaning system with 10x power-lifting suction and a three-stage process for cleaning. It also has a textured surface to keep away fingerprints, dust and hair of pets.

It does well on plain floors and is able to clean most debris however it had trouble with pet hair on low pile carpets. It does an excellent job with carpets with a high pile and is much quieter than its competitors. The i3 is a little more expensive than the Roborock S4 Max but it has a self-emptying station that emptys the dirtbag, replenishes its water reservoir and cleans its mop pads.

You can design cleaning schedules using the i3 App. You can also control your robot using your voice assistant to start or stop cleaning. It also tracks the unique floor plan of your home to give you a customized schedule and cleaning routines. It makes use of advanced mapping sensors to guide you through hardwood and carpet flooring, and also learns how you clean to improve performance.

iRobot Combo i2

The Combo i2 robot vacuum and mop is the latest product from iRobot. It integrates iRobot's advanced floor cleaning technology to make it a perfect option for homes with hard floors and a few rugs or carpets. The Combo i2 has a combo system that lets it switch between vacuuming or mopping by pressing a button. It also comes with iRobot's advanced navigation technology. Its PrevisionVision navigation system is more efficient than average, and it will avoid obstacles - like power cords and stairways.

It also comes with the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System that eliminates dirt on a regular basis for up to 60 days.

The dual multi-surface brush is another great feature of the Combo i2. They are more thorough than conventional mops, and remove dirt from edges and corners. This is made possible by the onboard acoustic sensors. The Combo i2 is also equipped with powerful suction, as well as an intelligent design. robot mop can be controlled via the iRobot app, voice assistants, and an programmable schedule.

iRobot Combo i1

The Combo i1 is one of the few robot vacuums that can also mop. When it senses the surface needs to be cleaned, a robotic arm with a cleaning pad lifts the entire unit and then swings underneath it. The back is equipped with a dustbin and water tank that can be removed to add cleaning solution. The robot is equipped with a unique Bona cleaning solution, but it can be used with other brands.

Contrary to other robot vacuums, the Combo i1 can retract its mophead completely to the top of the robot when it senses carpet. This lets it vacuum and then clean the carpet with its microfiber cloths making sure that the surfaces are spotless. It has a full suite of sensors and impressive navigation capabilities to avoid obstacles like cords and furniture.

It also comes with an upgraded battery to last longer and a self-emptying mode that reduces the frequency of emptying the dustbin. It's a great option for families who need the convenience of one robot with the versatility provided by the various cleaning modes. It can be controlled by voice commands using Alexa or Siri on devices that support Google Assistant. It can be programmed to start and stop when you come and go.

iRobot Combo i4

This iRobot robotic mop and vacuum is ideal for those who want to keep their home clean without lifting a single finger. It is compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it with voice commands. Plus, it has smart mapping technology that means you can set a schedule and the robot will do the work for you.

It has a low-profile docking station that doesn't take up the space. It also comes with a dirt compartment that can be empty with the press of one button. However, you won't be able to look inside the compartment as it's made of opaque plastic. The i4 is also lacking features, like the AI-powered obstacle-avoidance and keep-out zones that are found on the j7 and j7+.

However, it does have an effective cleaning system and two rubber brushes that aren't stuck in pet hair. It's a great choice for homes that have high-pile carpets because it can handle more dirt and debris than less powerful vacuums. The i4 requires less maintenance and has lower ongoing costs, and runs longer in its most suction-free mode.
