Qmedic offers a cellular and landline-based medical alert system that's available to seniors and people with disabilities living at home. These systems are designed to help people live more independently while also ensuring their safety in the event of an emergency.

falling alarm Founded in 2010, qmedic is a Boston-based company that sells two systems to customers: an in-home cellular medical alert system and a GPS locator pendant. Both systems work on a nationwide AT&T cellular network and feature two monitoring centers located in Utah and Idaho, enabling users to speak with emergency operators via their wearable help button or mobile app.

Livelife alarm The QMedic in-home cellular medical alert system is intended for use in small apartments and homes, with a base unit that connects to an active landline phone and paired with either a wrist-worn or neck-worn help button. It works up to 1,000 feet from the help button and can be set up to route calls and alerts to one of several pre-determined emergency contacts or to QMedic's professional monitoring center.

In addition to providing traditional emergency assistance, the cellular QMedic medical alert system can detect changes in a user's activity and sleep patterns, triggering a wellness call from QMedic operators and an alarm on the QMedic caregiver dashboard. This smart technology is based on research from scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is designed to identify when a user may be in need of help before it's too late.
