An acting attorney is a legal professional who specializes in advising, representing, and providing counsel for entertainment industry professionals—including actors. A lawyer can review contracts and advise on a variety of matters, including the type of roles an actor should take, what rights they should be giving away, and whether a deal is fair or not. In addition, a lawyer can provide advice on tax issues and immigration matters.

Attorneys can make decisions for a person who has made an Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA). 司法書士 must be careful not to mix their own money with the funds of the person they are making decisions for. They must also keep records of transactions and expenses. They must not act without the consent of the EPA owner, but if they do, they should be aware that they may be held liable in law.

We can help and advise you in relation to all your duties as an Attorney (whether it is a Property and Financial LPA or a Health and Care LPA). The best way to avoid problems is to discuss your role with us before agreeing to act or becoming an Attorney and to ensure that the document which appoints you contains detailed instructions. We can also assist you if you have already agreed to act and the EPA has been registered, and if you are not satisfied with the actions of another Attorney.
