Samsung Fridge Freezers With SmartThings

Samsung's Family Hub fridge comes with an oversized 389-litre fridge with a 225-litre freezer. It's a big American model with a quality temperature control system and numerous innovative features.

It's customizable with removable panels, so you can design one that perfectly matches your collection of tie-dye Crocs and matte black Rick Owens clothing.

All-Round Cooling

Separate cooling circuits in refrigerators with All Round Cooing help keep your food fresher. In conventional fridges, one evaporator cools the freezer and refrigerator compartments. This could result in your food drying out because the low-humidity air that is pumped into your refrigerator is pumped in. This can cause them to taste bland and unpleasant.

Each shelf is equipped with multiple vents that circulate cool air. This ensures a constant temperature even when you open and shut the fridge door.

Optimal Fresh zone keeps meats and seafood fresher up to two times longer than in conventional refrigerators, and does not freeze. This feature is an absolute game changer for anyone who enjoys cooking but doesn't like the hassle of thawing out frozen fish or meat.

All Round Cooling utilizes an All Round Cooling cooling plate that is located at the back of the refrigerator to keep cold air and prevent the loss of it when you open the door. It also reduces your need for power defrosting saving you time and money.

The ice dispenser on Samsung fridges is one of the finest we've tested. The patent-pending Twist Ice Maker dispensing large cubes is dispensed with an easy twist and can be kept below the fridge when not in use. This creates more shelf space and makes it easier to find your preferred beverages and snacks.

With Reversible Doors You can choose the direction in which your freezer or fridge opens. You can easily integrate your fridge into your kitchen layout while keeping it clean and tidy.

Samsung's Family Hub is the central control point for your SmartThings interconnected home via the large touchscreen on your refrigerator. It will show you a live video feed of your smart doorbell. It can also order groceries using an automated inventory, or suggest recipes based on the items in the shelves.

The flex drawers that are located on the bottom of Samsung refrigerators are a clever storage solution that makes it easier to store taller items such as canned drinks or pizza trays. They can be turned upside down when not in use, and then folded flat to use up less space. This is a fantastic feature for those who love to cook and bake, but have limited refrigerator storage space.

FlexZone

The Samsung FlexZone side-by-side fridge freezer comes with a unique three-zone design that lets you add an extra refrigerator compartment or a freezer drawer to your setup. This allows you to personalize your fridge freezer to suit your needs and storage requirements. It also allows you to upgrade to a larger or smaller fridge with the addition of an additional FlexZone module.

The refrigerator has a stylish design that is sure to complement any kitchen decor. The stainless steel finish is sleek and robust. It also has an anti-fingerprint finish that keeps the surface looking brand new. The refrigerator also has an external water and ice dispenser, making it even more convenient.

This fridge has a FlexZone bottom-right compartment that can be converted into a freezer or refrigerator. This gives you extra freezer space for items like ice cream, bags of frozen vegetables and fish or meat. It also did well in our tests, though the 21.5-inch touchscreen's excessive apps and lack of SmartThings or voice control integration feel like missed opportunities.

The rest of the fridge has plenty of room for food storage, with two crisper trays and a middle FlexZone drawer that can be made to fit your needs. The drawer lets you select among five different settings based on your requirements for the fridge-freezer compartment. There are five options: A freezer setting, a soft freeze setting for wine trays or deli trays, for instance, meat setting, fish setting and a beverage setting to store snacks, drinks and other items that are frequently used.

This Samsung FlexZone side-by-side refrigerator is an excellent choice for families that want the convenience of having a freezer and fridge in one. It's not as spacious than the top-of-the-line French door models, however it offers a lot of useful features and is a great alternative for those who have small kitchens.

The Samsung Fridge Freezer is also a very energy-efficient refrigerator, thanks to its digital inverter technology. This technology regulates temperatures in the fridge to ensure it doesn't change too frequently and helps keep food fresher for longer. Its energy efficiency has earned it an Energy STAR certification.

SmartThings

SmartThings isn't quite the same platform that Alexa and Google Assistant are, but it does have numerous smart devices that you can connect to. Samsung's TVs, phones, tablets and fridges all include SmartThings. This could be enough to make it worthwhile for some, especially when you own a variety of Samsung products.

The SmartThings application is very polished and well rounded and comes with a 'if x then y' automation section that works surprisingly well. You can set things up as alarms that go off when sensors detect a flooding or turning on the light when your phone senses that you're in your home. It can also control your fridge when connected to a smart socket, but we've had mixed success with that.

SmartThings requires a hub which isn't inexpensive. Samsung has a number of different options which include the SmartThings Station that you can attach to an existing router and use it as an nightlight. There's also a less expensive SmartThings hub dongle that supports Z-Wave, Zigbee and Thread.

Once you've connected your smart fridge to your smartphone and hub, it is extremely simple to use. SmartThings allows you to control your refrigerator from anywhere. Notifications are sent to your smartphone when the fridge is closed or opened. You can set up schedules to set the temperature, and even set reminders.

SmartThings is an early member of the Home Connectivity Alliance, which is striving to make the most important home appliances from a range of manufacturers interoperable. In the near future you can control your Samsung washer/dryer, Electrolux oven, and LG TV from the same app.

SmartThings isn't as popular as Alexa or Google Assistant but it does include some major names on its list, including Arlo Nest, Belkin, and Lifx. It's compatible with the Matter protocol, which allows accessories to be linked regardless of brand. The best choice for most people is to combine Alexa and Google Assistant.

Family Hub

This fridge freezer is the most modern that you can buy. fridge samsung features a 21-inch touchscreen built into the door and a number of clever features. You can access entertainment apps, leave notes for family members (think the size of a notebook that's stuck to the fridge), check the weather and more, all thanks to Samsung's voice-activated assistant, Bixby.

The touchscreen lets you manage recipes and food. You can add ingredients directly through an app and check out the contents of your fridge with internal cameras. You can create an inventory of groceries on the move and track foods to track their expiration date. You can also use a recipe app to read the recipe while cooking.

Samsung has spent an entire year refining the Family Hub fridges based on feedback from customers. You can now create distinct profiles for each member of your family so that they can customize the information and apps they can access. It's not as good as Alexa integration into your fridge, but it's an improvement over last year's model.

In addition to its features for entertainment and grocery management, Family Hub also acts as a controller for Samsung's SmartThings platform. It can be used to control Matter-compatible devices such as lights and plugs as well as locks.

Samsung's fridge is only a few years old, and even though it offers a wide range of functions however, its touchscreen capabilities are not a feature that most people would consider an essential feature. They're more of a fun and somewhat frivolous addition than anything else.

This may be changed with the release of more software updates, but for the moment, these models are best for those who want to have the most complete connected refrigerator that is possible. If you're not one of them, you can pick up a cheaper model that doesn't have the Family Hub to save some cash. If you own a variety of smart home appliances that you want to manage from a single screen, or if you are awed by the idea of having a refrigerator equipped with a large touchscreen, it could be worth the cost.
