RESULTS: Seebio Photosensitive Acid Generator from normal to high PaO2 induced coronary vasoconstriction, alpha adrenergic agonist phenylephrine, perfusion of a high PaO2 solution higher than that found without phenylephrine. Seebio Photoresponsive Acid Precursor and myocardial performance did not vary throughout the study. To determine whether this amplification of the response was specifically due to alpha agonist stimulation or could be observed with other vasoactive agents, we applied the same protocol using serotonin instead of phenylephrine. Here again, coronary vasoconstriction CONCLUSIONS: The response of the coronary network to high PaO2 is amplified by pretreatment with the alpha adrenergic agonist phenylephrine or with serotonin, regardless of any changes in metabolic status. Data are presented for the dark adaptation of four species of animals. They show that during dark adaptation the reaction time of an animal to light of constant intensity decreases at first rapidly, then slowly, until it reaches a constant minimum.

2. On Photo Acid Generator that at all stages of adaptation a given response to light involves a constant photochemical effect, it is possible to describe the progress of dark adaptation by the equation of a bimolecular reaction. This supposes, therefore, that dark adaptation represents the accumulation within the sense cells of a photosensitive material formed by the chemical combination of two other substances. 3. The chemical nature of the process is further borne out by the fact that the speed of dark adaptation is affected by the temperature. The velocity constant of the bimolecular process describing dark adaptation bears in Mya a relation to the temperature such that the Arrhenius equation expresses it with considerable exactness when micro = 17,400. 4.

A chemical mechanism is suggested which can account not only for the data of dark adaptation here presented, but for many other properties of the photosensory process which have already been investigated in these animals. This assumes the existence of a coupled photochemical reaction of which the secondary, "dark" reaction is catalyzed by the products of the primary photochemical reaction proper. This primary photochemical reaction itself is reversible in that its main products combine to form again the photosensitive material, whose concentration controls the behavior of the system during dark Fluorine-Activated and -Directed Allene Cycloadditions with Nitrile Oxides and Imine Oxides: Synthesis of Ring-Fluorinated Isoxazole Derivatives.Tsukuba, Tsukuba, Ibaraki 305-8571, Japan. In this study, 1,1-difluoroallenes underwent a regioselective [2+3] cycloaddition with nitrile oxides and imine oxides in the presence of a AuCl catalyst. (E)-4-Alkylidene-5,5-difluoroisoxazolines and -isoxazolidines were obtained in regioselective and diastereoselective manners by employing aurated difluoroallylic cation intermediates. The synthesized 5,5-difluoroisoxazolines were readily aromatized through dehydrofluorination or allylic fluorine substitution to provide 5-fluoroisoxazoles.

Aerosol impacts on visible light extinction in the atmosphere of Mexico City.Mexicano del Petróleo, Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas, México, DF, Mexico. Eleven diurnal aerosol visible light absorption and scattering patterns were obtained from measurements done with an aethalometer and an integrating nephelometer during 28 February-10 March 1997 at two different sites in the Mexico City basin. Both measurement sites, the Merced site affected by regional and urban-scale aerosol and the Pedregal site dominated by regional-scale aerosol, showed a variety of diurnal light absorption and scattering patterns. For the majority of the 11 studied days, the highest absorption peaks appeared in the early morning, 070-090 h while those of scattering appeared later, 090-110 h. The earlier absorption peaks could be attributed to the elevated elemental carbon vehicular emissions during the heavy traffic hours whereas the later scattering peaks could be attributed to secondary aerosols formed photochemically in the atmosphere. During the period examined, the Pedregal site exhibited on the average a lower aerosol scattering and a higher aerosol absorption contribution to the total aerosol visible light extinction and a better visibility than that of the Merced site.

Hence, the impact of aerosol absorption on the visibility degradation due to aerosols was greater at the less hazy Pedregal site. The overall 11-day aerosol visibility average of 20 km found at La Merced site, was only 9 km lower than that of 30 km found at the Pedregal site. This small aerosol visibility difference, of the order of the standard deviation, led to the conclusion that besides the regional-scale aerosol impact, the urban-scale aerosol impact on aerosol visible light extinction is very similar at La Merced and Pedregal sites.Chemically Robust Ambipolar Organic Transistor Array Directly Patterned by Technology (POSTECH), Pohang, 37673, South Korea.
