Slot missions can be a great method to obtain weapons, equipment and more. But they're also difficult to complete.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot allows the player to bring pistols into a mission. Some players use this to help reach certain achievements particularly those who are going for Suit Only. Others simply prefer to have the additional pistol to make a gap closer. It is important to remember that to select the pistols in this slot you must click on the button to select the appropriate category, like machine guns in the alternate slot. Being able to have Major Expedition and Adept Rider active makes this much simpler to accomplish. This combo also gives you a damage tick from Concealed Weapon every 10 seconds for as long as it is slotted.





Slot for items being smuggled

The smuggled items slot an amazing feature that allows players to bring weapons and other tools into the game, but it can be improved. It's currently shaped like the shape of a pistol, making it difficult to distinguish the smuggled weapon slot from other slots for gear.

The smuggle slot can be used to store a wide assortment of items, from concussion devices and explosives for weapons to more subtle concussions. These items are hidden in hidden locations around the map and are able to be retrieved at any time. The items that are smuggled differ from Agency Pickups or Hidden Stashes which conceal small items in the scenery or objects.

Mission planning is a function available in episodic missions that lets players unlock different starting locations, smuggled items and gear slots ahead of their entry into the map. As players advance through challenges and unlock new Mission Mastery levels, these options for planning increase. This gives players the ability to design the perfect mission for each difficulty.

Gear Slot

Early on in the game players will find their gear slots quickly fill up, leading to the common "Your Gear Slots are full" message, which blocks Max from acquiring new equipment until old items are cleared or more space is found. The solution to this issue is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which offer more inventory space in exchange for completing challenging missions. Because many of these challenges could be overlooked and are scattered around the globe, it could take a while to reach the maximum number inventory slots available in the game.

Five Gear Slots can be filled with up to 5 different types of gear, which must be selected from the Gear Selection menu before a Break-In can begin. Each gear item (except for the Pistol) will take up one Gear Slot, while a grouping of similar items (such as Grenades in a grouping) can only use one Gear Slot.

As you progress through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock different agency pickups on the map. These locations allow you to store items that do not fit in your concealed weapon or gear slots and then retrieve it later.

These pick-ups can be useful when your task requires you to go through a frisk or if you have a weapon on you that could raise suspicion. You can only hide one item at a pickup location.

This DLC also adds new security and asset protection contracts to the agency. To start these missions, simply contact the receptionist of the agency and stock up on armor and snacks. Once you've reached the marker, identify a mob upon arrival.
