Twilight Princess Game Review

Twilight Princess is the darkest, most serious and serious Nintendo 3D Zelda game. It pushes the visual presentation of the Wii to its limits. It's more unnerving and murky than The Wind Waker, with no bugs-eyed pig guards or edgy pirates.

Link is attracted to a parallel dimension referred to as Twilight Realm where he takes on the form of both Hylian wolf and Hylian wolf and the form of a Hylian while being guided by Midna.

Gameplay

Twilight Princess is the thirteenth installment in The Legend of Zelda series. It was released on the Nintendo GameCube and Wii systems in the year 2006. Critics praised the game with perfect scores in several publications such as 1UP CVG EGM and GamesRadar. Many consider it to be the best game in the franchise and the most viewed Zelda title on the PAL market.

Twilight princess has naturalistic and stylized graphics style, like that of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask but with a more advanced graphical engine. It's the first game in the series to feature an entirely directional control system instead of a fixed perspective like previous games. This modification was made to accommodate the Wii console's point-based interface. The GameCube version of the game features an area in the back that has mirror-image maps for those who prefer a fixed view.

When entering the Twilight Realm, Link is transformed into a wolf and comes across Midna, an unidentified creature. She informs Link that the kingdom of Hyrule is now under the control of a group of shadow beasts that are led by the evil sorcerer Zant. She also explains that she is the true ruler of Twili but was usurped by Zant and cursed to her current form.

When Link and Midna arrive at Hyrule Castle, a short cut scene shows the soldiers there being killed by the shadow creatures. Then, Link and Midna escape from the castle by a tunnel and enter the Twilight Realm.

Link can move more freely around the world in the Twilight Realm by using his wolf form. Link can also use his senses to navigate the world. He can hear the ghosts of soldiers and animals in the distance. Link can also pick grass from certain patches and whistle with it to call an animal, for instance the Hawk or Epona. Alternately, Link can howl near these patches to summon the same animal.

Like earlier Zelda games music plays a significant part in Twilight Princess. Link can use an instrument of music, such as the flute or harp, to draw and summon animals. He can also use his voice to command the wolf form. He can also use his compass to guide him to help him navigate through the world.

Characters

The Legend of Zelda is full of vibrant and unique characters that will leave an impression that will last forever. From hands emerging from toilets to pirates traversing vast oceans, these quirky and creative personalities are the core of the game. Twilight Princess continues the tradition of previous games by introducing a range of memorable characters.

In the course of the story, Link meets new NPCs that are not only interesting, but also believable. It is a huge step in the right direction that many of these NPCs actually have a role in the story instead of simply being there as victims. NPCs such as Rusl who states that the forest is dangerous now and kidnaps kids as well as the Ordon villager who disguises himself as a wolf while the kidnappers are taking children all have unique personalities.

Other notable characters include Iza who runs the Boat Rental Cabin as well as Iza's Rapid Ride in the Lanayru Province, Louise, Telma's cat, who assists Wolf Link locate a secret passageway through her bar as well as sewer system into the castle and Faron who's spirit is the one who guides Link and Midna to the Forest Temple in the Eldin Province. The two team members defeat the Fused Shadow possessed by Diababa and receives the first Tear of Light.

Midna is the princess of the Twilight Realm and one of the most intriguing characters in the game. She is a part of the Triforce of Wisdom and can switch between her human and her impish wolf form. She is friends with Link and informs him of her adventures in the twilight, and how she defeated Zant the King of Twilight.

Zant is the evil sorcerer who controls the Twilight Realm. He possesses the second part of the Triforce of Wisdom. He was removed to the Twilight Realm by the goddesses for stealing their land and enslaving people. Midna dispels Zant's power, allowing him to change into his human form if needed.

Epona is a better horse that can be ridden in both Wolf and Hylian forms. Link can whistle near specific grass patches to summon the animal. (similar to Majora's Mask). Twilight Princess is the first game in the series in which the player can name their horse.

Theme

Music is among the most crucial elements of any Zelda game and it can make a world feel vast, epic, and engrossing. However, Twilight Princess is criticized for having an inconsistent and sporadic soundtrack that doesn't capture the emotional impact of certain moments. Ocarina of Time Majora's Mask and other games have captivating compositions that bloom at the perfect moment to give you a sense of grandeur and eeriness.

Twilight Princess was composed by Asuka Ohta and Toru Minegishi. princess demo , the composer of the series' first time since Wind Waker was responsible for overseeing the composers. The soundtrack for Twilight Princess is a radical departure from the typical approach to the series, and features a an approach that is minimalist to melody and arrangements. Most field and dungeon music begins with a single instrumental that creates a mystical and atmospheric atmosphere for the player. For example, the haunting music of Midna's lament makes use of a simple piano to create an overflowing sense of sorrow for the player.

The most well-known examples are dungeon themes, which have a dreary atmosphere. This is most evident in Twilight Realm, which has an eerie soundscape that could be heard on a David Lynch movie. The unsettling and ominous nature of the track is amplified by the absence of identifiable melodies and the traditional arrangement with dreary drones and peculiar patterns intertwining to create a bleak texture.

A more upbeat and joyful track is Link's hometown theme, "Faron Woods." The song makes use of a variety of strings and soft sounds to create a tranquil and secure feeling for the player. The song also includes a subtle reference to the franchise's most well-known scene, as it features the riff which is like the iconic tune that is played at the beginning of Ocarina of Time.

There are also some exciting songs in Twilight Princess that change depending on the location of the player in the game, what they're doing, and the events that are taking place. Hyrule Castle Town has different versions of the theme for each part of the town. Central Square, for instance, has a more raucous version. These variations are a great addition that can help to create an element of depth and immersion into the world of Hyrule.

Story

Link's mission in Twilight Princess is to save Hyrule from the corrupted world known as the Twilight Realm. To do this, he assumes the form of both a Hylian and a Wolf and is being helped by a woman named Midna.

Midna was the original ruler of Twili but she was usurped and cursed by Zant into her imp form. The Ancient Sages inform Link and Midna that only defeating Ganondorf can remove them from their curse. The Sages reveal that the Mirror of Twilight causes the darkness to dwell in the Twilight Realm. Midna and Link travel to the Spirit's Spring where they encounter predatory creatures that kidnap children. Wolf Link's keen nose assists them in tracking children's scent to a nearby bridge, and then cross over into the Twilight Realm.

They enter the Forest Temple, battle Diababa and receive the first Fused Shadow. Following this, Faron informs them that the next stop is the Eldin Province to the west (Wii) or east (GCN).

At the Lakebed Temple in Lanayru, Midna is able to teleport Link to an erupting rock and uses her power to melt the ice that lies at the bottom of Lake Hylia. Rutela's spirit who is the recently gone Zora queen appears to Link and informs him that he needs to visit the Lakebed Temple if he wants to unlock the treasure of Zora.

Returning from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask The horse Epona can be again riding in Twilight Princess. In contrast to the set name used in the two previous games, Link can now decide the name of the horse himself.

Midna and Link are able to recover the remaining Mirror Shards once they arrive in the Twilight Realm. The Sages inform Midna that she is the true ruler of the Twili. She was passed over for the monarchy, and was turned into an ego-driven god. The Sages inform them that they will defeat Ganondorf if they bring Ganondorf to the light and break the pact between the Twilight kingdom and Hyrule kingdom.
