Slot missions are an excellent way to earn gear weapons, equipment and other items. However, they can be difficult to complete.

As players progress through challenges and unlock new Mission Mastery levels, these planning options increase. This allows players to prepare the best mission for each challenge.

Gear Slot

Early on in the game players will find their gear slots quickly fill up, leading to the common "Your Gear Slots are Full" message which prevents Max from picking new equipment until the old ones are removed or space is obtained. The solution to this problem is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which give players more inventory space in exchange for fulfilling challenges. Since many of these challenges can be missed and are scattered around the world, it may take a while to reach the maximum number inventory slots available in the game.

Each player can have up to five different kinds of gear in their five Gear Slots. These are to be selected from the Gear Selection menu prior to a Break-In. Each gear item (except the Pistol) takes up one Gear Slot while a set of similar items (like a group of Grenades of the same kind) only takes up one Gear Slot.

Agency pick-ups

As you progress through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock various agency pickups that are on the map. These locations let you store items that don't fit in your concealed weapon or gear slot. themed slots can take them out later.

These pickups are useful if your mission requires you to pass through a frisk or if you have a weapon with you that could cause suspicion. You are only able to hide one item in a pickup location.

This DLC also includes new security and asset protection contracts to the agency. Contact the receptionist at the agency and stock up on snacks and armor. Then, head to the mission marker and identify a mob when you arrive.
