Slot Missions in Hogwarts

Slot missions are a great way to get gear, weapons, and more. They're not easy to complete.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot allows you to carry pistols on an operation. Some players utilize this slot to help reach certain achievements and targets, particularly those who want to go for Suit Only. Some players use the extra pistol to fill in a gap. If you are using this slot, it is important to keep in mind that you'll have to click the corresponding pistol category button, such as the alternative slot 2 for machine guns, in order to select them. Rainbet of Major Expedition and Adept Rider active makes this much easier to do. This combo can also trigger an attack tick from the concealed Weapon every 10 seconds so long as it is placed in.

Slot for items that are smuggled

The smuggled item slot a good feature for allowing players to bring in weapons and tools, but it could benefit from a more streamlined option. It's currently designed as an a gun, that makes it difficult to distinguish the smuggled item slot from other gear slots.

The smuggle slot is able to hold a large variety of items, from subtle concussion devices to explosives that are weapon-grade. These items are hidden in inconspicuous places around the map, and can be retrieved at any time. The items that are smuggled are different from Agency Pickups and Hidden Stashes that hide only small items within the scenery or objects directly.

Mission planning is a function available in episodic missions that lets players unlock different starting locations as well as smuggled items and gear slots prior to their entry into the map. The options for planning increase as players advance through challenges and gain higher Mission Mastery levels. This lets players prepare the perfect mission for each challenge.

Gear Slot

The gear slots will rapidly get full early in the game, resulting in the dreaded message "Your Gear Slots are Full". This message stops Max to pick new equipment until the old items are removed or more space has been obtained. The solution to this issue is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which offer more inventory space in exchange for the completion of challenge missions. Because many of these challenges could be missed and are scattered around the world, it may take a while to reach the maximum number inventory slots available in the game.





Each player has up to five different types of gear in their five Gear Slots. They must be selected from the Gear Selection menu prior to breaking in. Each gear item (except for the Pistol) is a part of one Gear Slot, while a grouping of similar items (such as the grouping of Grenades) only takes up one Gear Slot.

Agency pick-ups

As you progress through Mission Mastery levels, you unlock various agency pickups throughout the map. These locations let you keep items that do not fit in your concealed slot for weapons or gear and then retrieve it later.

These pick-ups can be useful in situations where your job requires you to pass through a frisk or you have a weapon on you that could cause suspicion. You can only hide only one item at a pick-up location.

This DLC also adds new security and asset protection contracts to the agency. Talk to the receptionist at the agency and stock up on snacks and armor. Once you've reached the marker for your mission, identify a mob at the time you arrive.
