Keyless Entry System

Keyless entry systems are a reliable method to secure your rental property without requiring physical keys. These systems allow tenants and guests to access the building with codes, or using their smartphones. These systems can be combined with intercoms that allow video and audio communications. This gives people a variety of options to enter a building. Some keyless entry systems are cloud-based that allow them to be controlled remotely and provide more advanced features.

You can install the keyless entry system in any type of property, whether residential or commercial. First, the hardware needs to be installed at every entryway. The system then has to be configured and managed from a central console or via a smartphone app. According to Technavio the global keyless entry market is expected to grow by an annual rate of growth between 2016 and 2022 of 11.8 percent. The market's growth is attributed to the increasing demand for security systems in commercial vehicles.

Many people worry about being locked out of their homes, which is why they often leave an extra key in a safe location. However, this practice presents a serious security risk since criminals are aware of the places where keys are kept and are able to find them. To avoid this happening, it's best to have an entry system with a keyless lock installed in your home. This will stop you from ever being locked out of your home.

Transponder Chip

The transponder chip - or "chip key" is an electronic microchip integrated into the head of your car key, it's also one of the most important security layers in your car. The word transponder is derived from the combination of responder and transmitter which is because, when the key is inserted into the ignition and then turned, the antenna ring on your vehicle sends a burst of radio frequency energy to the transponder chip. The chip responds by sending its unique identification code to the ring that is attached to it and the car's computer is able to discern that code and determine if it is a genuine key.

The key must be a transponder one to start the car, if it's not, the vehicle will remain immobilized. The chip is secured with an extra layer of polycarbonate that stops it from being copied or cloned using regular mechanical keys. Beishir Lock and Security carries the largest selection of transponder keys at much less cost than of car dealerships.

Transponder chips began to become popular in the 80's, when GM introduced them into the Corvette. This technology dramatically reduced vehicle thefts by making hot-wiring obsolete. This is the simplest explanation of chip keys. If you have any additional questions, please contact us.

Immobiliser System

The engine immobiliser (also known as the anti-theft system) is a key element of your vehicle's security. When you insert your key into the ignition switch or Smart Key fob, the transponder chip inside it sends an electronic code to the vehicle's Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The ECU verifies that the code sent by the chip matches the code saved in it and only then allows the engine to begin.

Your car's immobiliser is designed to stop theft in this way. If the code on the chip is not in sync the ECU will stop the flow of current from the fuel pump relay to the injection system, and stop the engine from starting. In addition the immobiliser could disable the starter motor as well as the ignition coil to prevent the engine from being started by force.

Unfortunately the system isn't 100% secure. The code to unlock the car's immobiliser could be hacked by thieves and used to open it. The most recent versions of the systems use a longer cryptographic code that will make it more difficult to guess.

Since 1998 Immobilisers for cars are now obligatory. However, many vehicles already had basic systems in place. While immobilisers make it harder to steal a car, it doesn't hinder thieves from towing the car away or breaking in to steal your belongings.
