In this video, Jenny demonstrates how to make a show-stopping Handy Dandy quilt using 2.5 inch strips of precut fabric (jelly roll). The project uses easy half-square triangles and quarter square triangle hourglass blocks with a beautiful piano key border.

The process of layering heat embossed images and transparent color, then lifting the embossing creates a faux batik effect. This technique is a great way to make your own unique and personal designs. Choose a variety of solid stamps to create your scene, some that are bolder and others that fade into the background or appear farther away. Then, use a brush to apply clear water-based dyes over the top of the image. Repeat this process several times and let dry completely between each application of dye.
