PETALING JAYA: MCA’s Institute of Strategic Analysis and Policy Research (Insap) kicked off its first international engagement for the year with a meeting with the youth wing of the Parti Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan (PDIP). The event was attended by PDIP legislative candidate for house representatives in the Republic of Indonesia, Ibu Regina Vianney Ayudya. It was also graced by the presence of leaders from PDIP’s Centre for Strategic Studies and Research, led by its deputy secretary-general Datuk Dr Pamela Yong, and MCA Youth headed by its deputy secretary-general and deputy president Mike Chong Yew Chuan.

The meeting was facilitated by the Centre for Strategic Studies and Research’s head of research, Prof. Dr Ibu Ayudya, who also acted as the moderator for the discussion. Both sides shared their views on issues such as the upcoming general election in Indonesia and their strategies for a win.

Menurut pengamat politik dan peneliti lembaga survei, jumlah suara Jokowi unggul di wilayah-wilayah berkaitan dengan banteng 69 tersebut masih tergolong tinggi. Menurut peneliti, juga, elektabilitas PDIP di daerah-daerah seperti Bali, Jawa Tengah, dan Nusa Tenggara telah masih berkisar dari saat ini.
