The Mahindra Group has marked its entry into the Higher Education sector with the inauguration of a premier Engineering institution - "Mahindra Ecole Centrale" (MEC). This is in collaboration with Ecole Centrale Paris, and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad. The Hon'ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Shri E.S.L. Narasimhan, unveiled the ceremonial plaque together with Vineet Nayyar, Chairman - Board, Mahindra Ecole Centrale, C. P. Gurnani, Board Member, Mahindra Ecole Centrale, on the newly-built campus at Hyderabad, within the presence of Ecole Centrale’s representatives and the Consul General of France in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh and Dr Rameshwar Rao, Vice-Chancellor, JNTU(H).

Vineet Nayyar, Executive Vice-Chairman, Tech Mahindra, stated, "It is a proud second for us to have launched Mahindra Ecole Centrale at present. Tech Mahindra enjoys a leadership place and operates in varied industry segments. We acknowledge the important need to rework engineering talent into enterprise leadership, in a globalized world. Mahindra Ecole Centrale will provide apprenticeship with collaboration from the business, give consideration to humanities, worldwide exposure and allied education to develop a ‘'hole-brain method' to enterprise."

The institution will be dedicated to providing world-class infrastructure to support a powerful analysis imaginative and prescient in the thrust areas similar to Energy, Environment, Communications, Infrastructure, Transportation, Materials, and Defense.

Mahindra Ecole Centrale will employ nationwide and international faculty who work on the frontiers of educational enquiry and comply with the developments of the actual world in order to educate college students to become consultants in their disciplines.
