Slot missions can be a great way to obtain weapons, equipment and more. But they're also difficult to complete.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot is a special slot that lets you carry pistols into an operation. Some players use it to help them reach certain goals, especially those who are aiming for Suit Only. Others simply prefer to have the extra pistol as an extra weapon to close the gap. It is important to remember that to select the pistols that belong in this slot you must click on the button for the appropriate category such as machine guns in the alternate slot. Having Major Expedition and Adept Rider on makes it easier to do. This combo also gives you damage from Concealed Weapon every 10 seconds so long as it is in the slot.

Slot for Smuggled Items

The smuggled item slot is an excellent feature that allows players to bring tools and weapons into the game, but it could be improved. It's currently shaped like an a gun, which makes it difficult to differentiate the weapon slot that is smuggled from other gear slots.

The smuggle slot can hold an array of items, from subtle concussion devices to explosives that are weapon-grade. These items can be found in a variety of hidden locations throughout the map. They can also be retrieved at any time. Smuggled items differ from Agency Pickups or Hidden Stashes which hide only small items in the scenery or objects.

Mission planning is an option in missions that are episodic. It allows players to discover different starting points as well as smuggled items and gear slots prior to entering the map. These options for planning expand as players complete challenges and obtain higher Mission Mastery levels. This allows players to prepare the perfect mission for each challenge.





Gear Slot

In the beginning of the game, players will notice their gear slots quickly become full, resulting in the frequently-repeated "Your Gear Slots are full" message, which blocks Max from acquiring new equipment until the old ones are cleared or more space is obtained. Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials are the solution to this problem. They offer more inventory space for completing challenges missions. However, as many of these challenges are scattered across the world and can be missed, it can take a long time to acquire the maximum number of inventory slots that are available in the game.

Each player has up to five different kinds of gear in their five Gear Slots. They must be selected from the Gear Selection menu prior to breaking in. Each individual gear item (except the Pistol) takes up one Gear Slot while a set of similar items (like a group of Grenades of the same kind) only uses one Gear Slot.

Agency Pickups

As you progress through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock various agency pickups on the map. These locations let you store an item that does not fit in your slot for gear or weapon, and retrieve them later.

These pickups are particularly useful when you have to go through a frisk later in the mission or if you're carrying a weapon that could otherwise cause suspicion. You can only conceal one item at a pickup location.

This DLC adds new contracts for security and asset protection to the agency. Contact slot providers at the agency and stock up on snacks and other items. Once you have reached the marker you can identify a crowd at the time you arrive.
