What-is-5050-E-Liquid-Review-Guide-r
In short, 50/50 e-liquid is vape juice with a balanced 50% ratio of the main e liquid ingredients; propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin. These ingredients are otherwise known as PG & VG and are important in helping you choose the right type of e-liquid for your vape kit or vape tank.
What Are PG & VG?
PG stands for propylene glycol. This is an organic compound in the form of a thick, colourless liquid with a slightly sweet taste. It is derived from vegetable oils and is used widely throughout the food industry. Propylene glycol is added to e-liquids as a thickener and base.
VG stands for vegetable glycerin. Is is very similar to propylene glycol in that it is odourless, colourless and has a faint sweet flavour. It also provides a base for vape juices but differs from PG in that it has a thicker consistency. disposable cart

Why Do E-Liquids Contain Varying Ratios Of PG & VG?
Different ratios of PG & VG affect the viscosity or thickness of an e-liquid. As PG is thinner, e-liquids containing a higher ratio of PG will have a slightly more liquid consistency. VG is thicker, therefore higher VG percentages will produce a thicker e-liquid.

High PG (60%+)
Vape juices with more PG content are generally best suited to kits and tanks with coils at a higher resistance; anything above 1 ohm. These kits and coils are designed for 'mouth to lung (MTL' vaping. The liquid is vapourised at a lower temperature and therefore thinner juice is required so that it can heat more quickly.
This combination of higher resistance coils and high PG e-liquid will create subtle clouds of cool vapour and, depending on the nicotine strength, a satisfying throat hit.
High VG (60%+)
Vape juices with higher VG content are suitable for kits and tanks with coils at a low resistance; anything below 1 ohm. Lower resistance coils vapourise e-liquids at a higher temperature, therefore a thicker liquid is needed to slow the process. friendly farms of vaping is often known as 'sub ohm' or 'direct to lung (DTL) vaping.
The combination of lower resistance coils and high VG vape juice will create big, thick clouds of warm vapour, strong flavour and little to no throat hit.
50PG/50VG
A 50/50 e liquid contains a balanced 50% ratio of both PG & VG. This makes for a well-rounded vape juice that is suitable for the majority of kits, tanks and coils.
Depending on the coil and power settings of your device, 50/50 vape liquids will produce a subtle to medium density vapour with good flavour and a subtle to medium throat hit, depending on the nicotine strength.
What is 'Throat Hit'?
The term 'throat hit' is often used in relation to vaping and describes the scratchy sensation you get at the back of your throat when inhaling smoke or vapour. Smoking a tobacco cigarette creates this sensation, therefore an e-cigarette that utilises higher ohm coils with a high PG vape liquid is often a good option for new vapers making the switch from cigarettes.

It's worth noting that higher nicotine strengths will also create more of a throat hit. Therefore, if you are finding it too much with your current setup, we recommend experimenting with lower PG juices or reducing the amount of nicotine. You could also try nicotine salt liquids. These produce a much smoother vapour at higher nicotine strengths.
